The Premier League is back once again this weekend as we get ready for the final set of February fixtures this season. English football’s top flight has been producing some incredible games all campaign long and as we look ahead to the next few months, we expect more of the same. Today, we’ll look at what should be an entertaining clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield United.
Wolves Form GuideWolverhampton Wanderers are looking really good right now and Gary O’Neil deserves a lot of plaudits for what he’s been able to do at the club. When he came in, they were seen as one of the favourites to go down - but at this point, their focus is on the top half as opposed to the bottom three. With a decent cup run to go alongside that, the kings of the Black Country are sitting pretty.
After beating Tottenham 2-1 at Molineux earlier on in the campaign, Wolves came up against the boys from North London once again - this time on the road. While they did face adversity, O’Neil’s men got the job done for the second time in yet another 2-1 victory.
Sheffield United Form GuideSheffield United fans know that they are the favourites for the drop and in a lot of ways, it feels like they don’t have much to lose because of that. Chris Wilder will do everything in his power to keep them in the top flight but they need a big shift in momentum in the next couple of months. Whether or not they can make that change, though, remains to be seen.
If you didn’t think Sheffield United were in trouble before their last game, you certainly do now. They went down to ten men early on against Brighton but even with that being the case, their collapse was pretty embarrassing as they slipped to a convincing 5-0 defeat.
Match PredictionSheffield United managed to get the better of Wanderers earlier on this season and we wouldn’t put it past them to pull off a similar result. With that being said, we do think the hosts will learn from their mistakes, which is why we’re going to predict a Wolves win.
